Team Leader - Behaviour Support (NDIS Endorsed)Step As One Disability Services is a registered NDIS organisation guided by a strong commitment to human rights and social justice. Our area of focus is working with complex individuals, systems, and organisations across Victoria and NSW. It was established with a key goal; to help people with a disability live their very best lives. This is a hybrid role involving a combination of working from home and meeting face-to-face with NDIS participants in the South-East suburbs of Melbourne. Endorsement as a proficient practitioner or higher by the NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission is mandatory for this position. Salary will be negotiated depending upon experience.Qualifications & ExperienceEndorsement as a proficient practitioner or higher by the NDIS Quality & Safeguarding Commission is mandatory for this role.Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, or a related field.Proven experience working with people with disabilities, neurodivergent individuals, and those who have mental health issues.In-depth knowledge of evidence-based practices in behaviour support and interventions.Familiarity with trauma-informed care and its application.Tasks & ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and clinical oversight of a team of endorsed core and proficient Behaviour Support Practitioners.Assist in the growth of Behaviour Support services and the development of a dynamic and skilled team of clinicians.Assist clinicians with their professional development and NDIS Behaviour Support endorsement.Conduct comprehensive functional behaviour assessments to holistically understand the person with a disability.Develop personalised and evidence-based behaviour support strategies and behaviour support plans, focusing on promoting positive outcomes.Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of strategies/interventions, adjusting as needed to achieve optimal results and outcomes.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure an integrated approach to support.Advocate for the rights and dignity of people with a disability, working to avoid/reduce restrictive practices.Provide clinical supervision to support safe and competent practice.Professional Growth: We are dedicated to your professional development, offering training opportunities and resources to enhance your skills and knowledge.Supportive Environment: Our team is passionate, supportive, and values a healthy work-life balance.Hybrid role: Combination of visiting NDIS participants (within the South Eastern Suburbs), working from home and one day per week in a modern and vibrant coworking space.Ongoing supervision with our Forensic Psychologist/Clinical Practice Lead.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years' experience do you have as a Behaviour Support Practitioner?Do you have a current Working With Children (WWC) Check?Do you have a current NDIS Worker Screening Check?Which of the following Microsoft Office products are you experienced with?Do you have a current Australian driver's licence?
