An exciting opportunity is now available in Newport, South Wales to work within our Specialist Neuropsychiatric service asa Band 8a Clinical Nurse Specialist, Neuropsychiatry.
You will work in partnership with clinical andoperational leaders and a broad range of stakeholders from across the localsystem to ensure we continue to provide a high-quality service.
You will work collaboratively to ensure theservice meets the local and national standards, drive for quality andimprovement, and keep patients at the heart of everything we do.
We are looking for someone with a passion forpatient centred care and quality improvement with an established track recordfor delivering performance standards through compassionate leadership.
We are looking for someone with experience inoverseeing nursing interventions for people with complex behavioural, personalcare and medical needs.
Main duties of the job The Clinical Nurse Specialist is responsible forand application of clinical care and interventions that enhance quality,improve service delivery, and have positive experience outcomes for patients,carers and staff in partnership with the Quality Lead for Hospitals and underthe direction of the Hospital Direction.
The role is predominantly concerned with ensuringthe delivery of high standards of patient centred care within key qualitydomains.
It combines clinical expertise, leadership and education / researchskills with management and professional responsibilities.
You will focus on supporting effective practicalleadership in service area and promoting a culture of high performance andclinical excellence.
You must be adept at prioritising the activities,under the direction of the Hospital Director, that will provide the mostefficient, effective and safe pathway and escalate any concerns that willprevent this from happening.
You will be responsible for the support andmonitoring of the assigned care pathway quality and improvement plans.
You will work in partnership with the Unit Managers to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards, as well ascoordination of quality improvement initiatives, clinical audit and NICEguidelines.

Job responsibilities Work in partnership with the clinicaland operational teams to support effective practical leadership and promote aculture of high performance and clinical excellence.
Workcollaboratively to ensure the service meets local and national standards and ensurecompliance with quality and safety standards.
Compassionateleadership with co-ordination of quality improvement initiatives, clinicalaudit and adherence with relevant NICE guidelines.
Passionateabout lifelong learning and development of the team in relation to neuropsychiatricdisorders.
Person Specification Qualifications A qualified RMN/RNLD with extensive knowledge and experience of working with neuropsychiatric disorders.
