We are investing in long term growth including expanding our Branch network and digital capability to deliver a premium service to our high net worth customers.Role OverviewThe Markets Desk Officer (MDO) will be a key support role across the whole Wealth Distribution business; providing an opportunity to work across Markets Desk and Investment desk team. The role will provide a seamless end to end customer experience by providing administrative support to the broader Wealth team. As an MDO, you will support the Markets Desk and Investment specialists with all non-centralised controls tasks and be the second approver and control expert within the business. The role will provide an opportunity to learn about Investment and FX products as well as HNW client management.Your Main ResponsibilitiesPerforming account opening activities and checks.Be the trust account expert and play a role in training and assisting with Request for Information tasks.Be the second approver for the FX and Investment trade and settlement.Daily maintenance and reconciliation of various reports.Work closely with the Markets Desk and Investment Specialist to deliver a seamless customer experience.Provide administrative support to the markets and Investment desk in relation to the Accredited Investor program and HSBC Invest account.RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:Relevant experience as Personal Banker or Customer Service Officer with a proven track record in customer excellence gained in banking, sales, hospitality or retail.A keen and strong focus on customer service, professionalism and knowledge of frontline controls is critical to the success of the role.Exceptional communication skills and ability to build and maintain strong relationships.A clear understanding of how value is created within the HNW segment, both for customers and the bank.Intermediate to advanced knowledge of banking procedures and systems.The desire to develop your financial expertise and grow your career within banking and wealth.Ability to understand and provide solutions tailored to meet individual customer needs.A proven ability to multitask and demonstrate strong attention to detail.The Higher School Certificate or equivalent certification.Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.We value different perspectives, we succeed together, collaborating across boundaries, we take responsibility, holding ourselves accountable to get things done.
