About the Role
The Development Engineering Coordinator oversees the functions of the Development Engineering Section, including development assessment, infrastructure planning, and delivery of new Council assets.
You will lead a team of professionals to provide Council, the public, and developers with expert advice on civil engineering issues related to all kinds of development and delivery of urban infrastructure in new release areas.
The role also provides strategic direction on land use planning initiatives, including rezoning applications, planning proposals, and major infrastructure projects.
Essential Criteria
A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or related field.
Extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of local traffic engineering and transport planning.
Extensive practical experience in all aspects of land development and civil infrastructure in Local Government.
Demonstrated experience in the assessment of all civil engineering issues associated with the planning, design, and delivery of urban infrastructure in new release areas (including road works, drainage design, flood studies, etc).
Extensive knowledge of the relevant legislation.
Well-developed leadership and team management skills.
Well-developed verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Current Class C Driver Licence.
Salary
$137,913.00 - $159,639.00 per annum, plus 11.5% Superannuation and a 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award.
Access to a Leaseback Vehicle or Motor Vehicle Allowance is available with this position; however, it is not a condition of employment.
