Team Leaders/Supervisors (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)Takos Manufacturing specialises in sheet metal fabrication and manufactures metal toolboxes and accessories for the caravan industry.
We also fabricate sheet metal products for other sectors.This role is based at the Derrimut site which has a 6Kw laser cutter, two CNC hydraulic presses, a 3.2m wide guillotine and laser, TIG and MIG welders.About the roleAn exciting career opportunity exists for an experienced, dedicated and enthusiastic Production Supervisor/Manager at Takos Manufacturing.
This full-time role will manage the day-to-day operations of the Derrimut site, lead and manage their multicultural team of four full-time staff to deliver quality products and work closely with the Managing Director to improve processes.To be successful in this role you will need to have a strong presence and be a firm leader, with exceptional organisational and interpersonal skills.
You will need to use and update the company's production scheduling software (Monday.com).Duties and responsibilitiesWork with the Managing Director to ensure company goals and objectives are met and keep the Managing Director advised of any changes likely to affect the completion of customer orders.Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and quality standards.Utilise and update the company's production scheduling software (Monday.com) to manage daily work scheduling.Manage your team to ensure daily production targets are achieved and all orders are completed and delivered.Manage personnel functions, including inductions and training to company procedure and product specifications.Conduct interviews and hiring for your team.Monitor your team's performance and efficiency.Perform daily quality inspections and provide feedback to your team and report trends to the Managing Director.Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives.Key Requirements:Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience within metal manufacturing or a related industry, with a proven track record in production supervision/management.Team Management: Demonstrated experience managing multicultural production teams, including staff development and performance management.Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of sheet metal products and manufacturing processes, production scheduling, and inventory control.
Competent with windows-based IT systems.Safety Expertise: Extensive experience leading safety initiatives, including risk assessments, incident investigations, and compliance with industry standards.Forklift Certification: Valid forklift licence with hands-on experience in warehouse or production environments.Communication: Confident and personable communication and interpersonal skills across different cultures.Previous experience in a similar business is highly valued.Proficiency in Monday.com's production management and reporting systems (or equivalent) is highly valued.If you are a driven and experienced professional who thrives in a dynamic sheet metal fabrication environment, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
