Gold Fields is a globally diversified gold producer with nine operating mines in Australia, South Africa, Ghana, Peru, Canada and Chile.
Gruyere Gold Mine, a Gold Fields and Gold Road Resources Joint Venture (50/50) located in the Yamarna Greenstone Belt in Western Australia.
This newly constructed mine site boasts a plant production of 300,000+ ounces per annum with an enviable production profile in excess of 10 years, making it one of Australia's largest and lowest cost gold mining operations.
Role Details: Reporting to the Supervisor: Plant Services, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Site Services Team on a day-to-day basis to achieve budgeted production, availability and compliance on all site facilities and associated infrastructure to meet current and anticipated demand.
This role is offered on an 8 days on 6 days off roster and is Fly in Fly out from Perth.
Benefits include: 6% Site Allowance & Private Health Insurance AllowanceQuarterly Bonus SchemeRetention bonusesVirgin Velocity reward pointsSalary sacrifice optionsEmployee referral program - $10,000 per successful referralEmployee Assistance ProgramAbout the role: Comply with OHS & environmental standards & requirements;Evaluate associated risks & hazard of each task prior to the commencement to ensure a safe working environment;Manage the day-to-day activities for the site services team inclusive of contractors ensuring awareness of the tasks, targets, and access to the necessary tools;Ensure the team are applying effective preventative maintenance practices through scheduled inspections, servicing, adjustments, troubleshooting and timely repair of equipment;Assist with training, development and coaching of the team to improve individual capability and enhance employee engagement, productivity and job satisfaction;Improve performance and growth by actively contributing to business & cultural improvement initiatives, encouraging team members to participate & identify barriers;Provide support services with bore field's management, wastewater treatment and communications facilities;Assist with determining proactive maintenance plans and shutdown programs, in disciplined areas of responsibility;Report all safety hazards, environmental hazards, incidents, damage, breakdowns and potential plant or equipment stoppages to a direct Supervisor or area Supervisor as soon as is practicable including those not directly related to your specific areas of responsibility.About you: Australian recognised Trade QualificationPrior experience in operation and maintenance of a mineral processing plant, bore field maintenance &/or water treatment plants and diesel pumps/generatorsManual HR Drivers LicenceBasic computer skills in Microsoft Office ProgramsPrevious leadership experience (desirable)Applications can be submitted via: Australia
