All jobs can be worked flexibly, and we encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and people from diverse backgrounds and abilities.If you're having any trouble viewing this ad and would like it or any attachments in an accessible format (such as large print), please don't hesitate to get in touch with the contact person listed on the ad.For more information on working with us and our recruitment process, please visit Department of Families, Fairness and Housing Victoria | Jobs.THE ROLEAs a Senior Practice Adviser, you will contribute to the establishment and operational activities for the oversight by the Victorian Senior Practitioner for restrictive practices used by the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) / WorkSafe Victoria (WSV) providers registered under the Disability Act 2006.This includes the authorisation and approval of restrictive practices and systemic and individual clinical reviews of restrictive practices as defined in the Disability Act with a focus on reduction and elimination.Working closely with the Principal Practice Leader, this role has a key role to influence practice development by providing education and advice and collaborating with service providers, relevant professionals, and key stakeholders to safeguard the rights of people with a disability funded by TAC/WSV that are subject to restrictive practices due to behaviours of concern.ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDEBuild and maintain effective working relationships with TAC/WorkSafe providers, relevant professionals and key stakeholders, to facilitate the introduction of this initiative.Establish and manage the restrictive practice authorisation and approval process for TAC and WSV funded disability service providers.Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.COVID-19 VACCINATIONThe department strongly recommends (but does not mandate) that employees maintain their COVID-19 vaccination status in accordance with current ATAGI (Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation) advice, given their individual circumstances.
