Your role and responsibilities The Global IS Enterprise Technology Architecture team ensures ABB's technology capabilities, platforms, services and standards.
The role supports the business and IT strategy and outcomes by ensuring the identification of architecture-related benefits and costs within ABB IS Enterprise Technology and Data landscape of IS Core and Functions.
The successful candidate will lead the definition of the ABB IS Enterprise Technology Architecture vision aligned with the needs of ABB Businesses and Functions.
Moreover, the Head of IS Enterprise Technology Architecture will provide guidance and insight to inform and accelerate stakeholder decision making.
It will also ensure mature application of common processes, tools and methodology across IS ABB Architecture community.
Working model: #LI-hybrid Responsibilities Directly contribute to the development of IS Strategy by designing IS Enterprise Architecture and data landscape roadmap for the next 3-5 years.
Strives towards increasing satisfaction with IS services by assessing expectations and influencing stakeholders' perceptions of IS as a key enabler for Digital Transformation.
Creates and moderates architecture and innovation communities across ABB.
Ensures compliance of the architectural landscape of core and common services resulting in improved efficiency, effectiveness, quality and/or operational functionality.
Proactively collaborates with the Business and internal and 3rd Party IS Technology Suppliers, including managing key vendors in understanding their future technology roadmap and mapping that back to ABB.
Embeds deep alignment of Enterprise Architecture initiatives with Information Security and Cyber Security on a process level.
Owns the Enterprise Architecture Management process.
Ensures mature application of common processes, tools and methodology across ABB IS Architecture community.
Chair the IS Architecture Review Board to ensure fit-for-purpose architecture standards management and assurance, ensure interoperability, shape and agree on architecture landscape and target architecture of Core and Common Information Technology and Data landscape.
Ensure adherence to Corporate IS Policies and Procedures, as well as to both internal regulations and external legislation.
Qualifications for the role Above 15 years of relevant experience (e.g.
in Information Technology Architecture, Innovation), including 5+ years of experience in senior leadership role connected to technology.
In depth knowledge and vivid curiosity across areas of technology, especially current and future technical and applications architecture and its implications.
Ability to translate complex technical topics into business and end-user language with excellent communication and influencing skills.
Thorough understanding of the business, the industry, current and emerging trends and ability to evaluate their value in the context of ABB Business.
Broad network within technology industry (inc.
know-how of best practices).
Pragmatic leader who is driven by simplicity, optimization and value creation.
Develops and manages effective senior stakeholder networks and relationships to build aligned understanding of opportunities and challenges.
