09th December, 2024Intermediate Management Accountant - MelbourneForvis Mazars' Outsourcing team has an opportunity for an Intermediate Management Accountant like you.We're a globally integrated audit, tax and advisory firm with offices in more than 100 countries - and we're always ready to recruit an experienced and motivated new Intermediate Management Accountant like you to join our Australian team.In the role, you will be reporting to the Accounting and Outsourcing Solutions Manager, providing outstanding services to local and international clients across a range of industries. You will find yourself to be a key contributor to our fast-growing business, providing high-quality and technical enabled solutions.About the job:Be the main point of contact for the day-to-day delivery of servicesAccounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and processing journalsAssist with bank and payment mattersManagement accounts preparation and month-end close processesPreparation of payroll tax and workers' compensation reconciliationsPreparation and lodgement of monthly/quarterly business and instalment activity statementsProvide information to the Business Advisory Team to assist with the preparation of annual financial statements and tax returns for companies and trustsATO registration matters, ASIC matters if requiredAssist in the supervision and training of junior staffReview tasks assigned to juniorsKeep manager informed of progress and any issues arisingCommunicate with clients and colleaguesProgress towards providing business advisory services to key business stakeholders.About you:2 - 4 years' experience working in an accounting-related roleCompleted a Bachelor of Commerce degree (or equivalent)Ability to work to tight time schedulesStrong proficiency in Xero (accounting, reporting, and bookkeeping)Experience in other cloud accounting software and apps would be beneficialStrong numerical and IT skillsSound Microsoft Excel skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skillsWillingness to learnWhy Forvis Mazars?For those who appreciate culture as much as commercial success, Forvis Mazars is the smart choice.
