Deputy Principal of Curriculum (Secondary)We are currently seeking to employ a highly motivated and innovative Christian leader to join the Secondary School community for this full-time position.
The position will commence in 2025.
The College
Austin Cove Baptist College of South Yunderup is a co-educational College that commenced in 2011 and currently has approximately 740 students from Kindergarten to Year 12.
The College is situated in the Austin Lakes development just east of Mandurah and provides a high standard of education in a safe and caring environment within a Christian context.
For further information on the College, please visit: www.acbc.wa.edu.au Minimum Requirements: To have a personal faith and commitment to Jesus including regular church attendance and a lifestyle consistent with the expectations of Christian faith.Be a qualified teacher registered with the TRBWA, hold a Working with Children Check, and have a commitment to child safety and wellbeing.The ability to work within a senior administration team, providing high levels of operational leadership ensuring effective management and delivery of the curriculum.Highly Desired Qualities Senior curriculum knowledge and experience.Integrity, initiative, organisational and record-keeping skills underpinned by a commitment to achieving excellence.Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.Ability to lead teams and manage change.Comprehensive understanding of educational trends, contemporary pedagogy, and wellbeing paradigms.Consistency, accuracy, punctuality, thoroughness, empathy, compassion, and care.Responsibilities: Promoting the Christian ethos of the College and developing a positive culture around the College core values to achieve our vision and mission.Collaborating with the Principal, Heads of Department, Teachers, and Educational Assistants to deliver, review, and improve the curriculum.Leading teaching staff in best pedagogical practice.Coordinating relief staff.Organising the College timetable including daily timetable, electives, and subject selection.Monitoring, reporting, and communicating to the Principal, SCSA, and staff on student progress.Developing and maintaining curriculum handbooks, policies, and procedures relating to student learning.Overseeing Learning Area programmes and ensuring assessments are in accordance with SCSA guidelines.Overseeing the delivery of external testing including NAPLAN, OLNA, and WACE examinations.Overseeing College academic events and managing staff accordingly.Liaising with the Learning Enrichment Coordinator to ensure the highest levels of support for students.A teaching load up to 0.4 FTE.Remuneration Remuneration will be discussed with the appointed staff member.
