Senior Financial Reporting and Systems Accountant This role has the responsibility for the provision of timely and accurate statutory financial reports for the Australia Group and its subsidiaries in accordance with reporting requirements and supporting the Group consolidation system.
Accountability for the preparation of month end group consolidation and all regulatory reporting obligations together with providing strong support for maintenance and improvements of the Group accounting system is essential.

Accurate and timely preparation of statutory financial statements for Group and its subsidiaries in accordance with statutory and other reporting requirements and co-ordinate requirements for external audit.
Monthly reporting of Group consolidation results and supporting the month end close process.
Provision of technical accounting advice to business on complex, new or emerging accounting issues.
Support consolidation platform in Australia and Global.
Managing any changes (including master data and entities hierarchies) to the accounting systems in partnership with the IT team.
Assist with other new system implementation improvements and projects.
Job Specific Responsibilities
Reporting for Statutory and Other Reporting Requirements
Accurate and timely preparation of statutory and other reporting requirements
• Co-ordinate preparation of statutory trial balance and reconciliations for the Group according to monthly, quarterly and annual close schedule.
• Prepare financial statements for the Group and its subsidiaries' jurisdiction (Australia and overseas) in accordance with accounting standards, regulatory and other reporting requirements.
• Co-ordinate requirements for external audit.
• Preparation of accounting and board papers essential to the statutory financial statements process.
• Liaise with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective completion and delivery of the statutory reporting process.
• Preparation of other financial reporting requirements to satisfy requirements of external regulators or other parties e.g.
funding requirements, banks, investor relations, etc

Monthly Financial Consolidation and Reporting
Accurate and timely preparation of monthly reporting
• Manage month end close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting of Group results.
• Preparation of month end consolidation and assist with the review of Group results.
• Engage with the business to ensure timely and smooth delivery of month end close process.
• Preparation of month end consolidation journals and review of consolidation group results.
• Perform month end close process in TM1 and SAP.
• Complete validation checks to ensure monthly consolidated results are accurate and meeting business and reporting requirements.
• Work with business to resolve EOM validations.
• Maintain EOM standard reports.
• Develop new system reports as required by business

Timely and accurate delivery of Alliance Group monthly results and within the month end close timetable.
Technical accounting advice
• Provide sound technical accounting advice to the business for complex, new or emerging accounting issues.
• Monitor changes in Accounting Standards and business operational changes that have accounting and statutory reporting implications.
• Refresh and develop accounting policy, detailed procedures and reports for entire finance function in group and all subsidiaries.

TM1 and Hyperion Consolidation Platform
• Support to users of new TM1 consolidation system.
• Support continuous improvement to the newly implemented TM1 consolidation system for management reporting, forecasting and statutory reporting.
• Support Global Hyperion consolidation system for MPS entities.
• Supporting planning and forecasting requirements within the new TM1 consolidation system.

TM1 maintenance/Master Data
• Ensure TM1 group hierarchies reflect underlying business and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate master data mapping between ERP and group consolidation system.
• Change/maintain entities hierarchies in TM1 for structure changes and new acquisitions.

New systems implementations projects
• Support MPS S4 implementation in all operating businesses.
• Work with S4Hana implementation team to ensure smooth implementation and transition to S4Hana group reporting consolidation including testing.
• Running EOM S4Hana group reporting processes.
• Work with S4Hana team to bring trial balances of entities moved to S4Hana (staged movement of entities) through to TM1 until all the entities have moved to S4Hana.
