Selection CriteriaSC1: Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including literacy and numeracy skills.SC2: Experience in planning for and implementing high impact teaching strategies.SC3: Experience in monitoring and assessing student learning using data.SC4: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.SC5: Behaviours consistent with Department values and School Values.SC6: Outstanding professional and personal attributes including collaboration and improvement focus.RoleThe classroom teacher classification comprises two salary ranges.
The primary focus is on planning, preparation, and teaching to achieve specific student outcomes.
Classroom teachers may be required to undertake other duties in addition to their teaching responsibilities.
ResponsibilitiesDirect teaching of groups and individual students;Contributing to curriculum development and evaluation;Participating in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps, and excursions;Undertaking other non-teaching supervisory duties.Who May ApplyTeachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach in the specified curriculum areas.
