When you join Interior Engineering, you're joining a Company dedicated to fostering an open and nurturing environment focused on continuous learning and empowering you to achieve better than your expectations.Work on a variety of different projectsRegular training opportunitiesCompetitive remuneration packageOpportunities for project leadership and client managementOpportunities for working from homeThe RoleAs a senior member of our dynamic and forward-thinking mechanical services team, you will be responsible for providing efficient and innovative design solutions for various building services projects.Your responsibilities will include:Preparation of accurate and detailed HVAC design solutionsPreparation of contract documentation for tendering and construction purposesManaging design projects from concept through to completion including the consultation with all members of the design teamAttending site to inspect existing services and review construction worksLiaising with equipment Suppliers and ManufacturersResearching new products and HVAC design practices and ensuring the Company remains up-to-date with the latest building services technologyReviewing and certifying the mechanical designs on behalf of Interior EngineeringAssisting with mechanical junior engineer training and developmentSkills and Experience:Our ideal candidate will:Be degree qualified from a tertiary institution recognised in Australia (B Eng Mechanical or equivalent). NABERS accreditation will be an advantageHave a minimum of eight (8) years previous experience working with an engineering consultancy or relevant contracting company in building servicesHave RPEQ qualifications. Certification qualifications in other states would be an advantageHave sound knowledge of the BCA and Australian StandardsHave a willingness to learn and develop your skill levelsBe proficient at driving and carry a C class licenseHave proven written and verbal communication skills and sound problem-solving skillsHave the ability to work both autonomously and within a team environmentHave the ability to adapt seamlessly to change within the workplaceHave a high degree of professionalism and integrityTo apply for this position, please submit a cover letter and CV.Your application will include the following questions:Do you have a current Australian driver's licence?Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?What's your expected annual base salary?Have you completed a qualification in mechanical engineering?How many years' experience do you have as a Mechanical Design Engineer?
