Our Environmental Science and Planning Team
We have three areas of operation:
PlanningEnvironmental ApprovalsContamination Investigations and RemediationA strong pipeline of projects in Tasmania and NSW, particularly in the renewable energy, mining, and extractive sectors.
The Opportunity
This role offers the chance to gain exposure across a variety of projects and regions, develop skills, and increase our capability within the renewable energy, mining, and other markets.
Key responsibilities include:
Defining project and proposal methodology, fee estimates, implementing project plans, technical documentation, project scheduling, and meeting deadlines and budgetsApplying a deep understanding of environmental management principles to devise and deliver practical and economical solutions for clientsOverseeing preparation of environmental impact assessments for varying sized projects in a range of sectorsWorking collaboratively with our in-house environmental, engineering, and stakeholder engagement specialists, and managing external specialist subcontractorsIdentifying and managing project risksWhat You Bring
Tertiary qualified in environmental planning, environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related discipline, with 5 to 10 years' experience in Environmental Impact Assessments, environmental management, preferably in consulting, industry, or construction.
Experience preparing and managing environmental approval documentation for larger developments will be highly favored, particularly for large-scale renewable energy projects.
Knowledge of environmental planning legislation in Tasmania and/or New South Wales is essential.
Experience of planning and environmental legislation in other states and jurisdictions is highly favored.
Proven project management skills, including managing project risk, budget, time-frame, and client requirements.
