Finance Director
Our client is a highly successful Australian private property development group, particularly focused on asset improvement.
The group's success is underpinned by innovation, growth, and superior investment returns, consistently supported by solid financial management and strategic tax planning.
Reporting to the CFO, this new role will provide support to the finance function and the broader business to manage anticipated growth and to deliver a succession plan for the current CFO.
The Finance Director will be responsible for overseeing all financial and management accounting functions, tax planning and structuring, and commercial deal support for the group of companies.
With a background in Big 4 accounting firm before moving into a property investment fund setting, with the personal motivation to be successful in a small setting.
Extensive experience in tax planning, cash flow management, and IRR (Internal Rate of Return) considerations for property transactions, JVs, and developments are pre-requisites.
Requirements: Minimum of 10 years of property development experience, including experience in a Big 4 accounting firm and within a high-paced property-related fund, developer.
Experience in a family office setting will be highly regarded.
Extensive knowledge of financial and management accounting principles, tax planning and structuring, and commercial deal support.
Strong analytical skills and experience with financial modelling and IRR analysis.
Proven ability to manage cash flow and optimize financial processes.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
