Nurse Unit Manager – Anaesthetics | SydneyAn excellent opportunity exists for a highly motivated Registered Nurse with exceptional leadership and clinical skills to lead the Anaesthetics team at a private hospital in Sydney.
ABOUT THE ROLE As a Nurse Unit Manager, you will be:
Providing clinical leadership and support for the anaesthetic nursing staff;Working with the Perioperative Services Manager to meet operational, financial and quality improvement initiatives;Identifying educational and development needs of the anaesthetic team;Working with VMOs in a collaborative manner to deliver patient-centred care;Assisting with staff rostering, patient flow and resource allocation.REQUIREMENTS Current registration with AHPRA;At least 5 years of experience working in Anaesthetics;Sound clinical knowledge;Compliance with ACQSHC National Standards;Valid Working with Children check;Experience in an acute setting relevant to the position with advanced skills;Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills;Excellent customer service focus, time management, and prioritization skills;Ability to manage a dynamic and changing environment;A high degree of computer literacy, including proficiency with MS Office and various databases;Post-graduate qualifications in Anaesthetics.ABOUT THE FACILITY The hospital, located in Sydney, is a 98-bed, 7-operating theatres acute surgical hospital. Services provided include (but are not limited to) General & Surgical Day Surgery, Cardiovascular Surgery, Maternity and Special Care Nursery facilities, Oncology Unit, and a Mental Health Unit.
