InfinityPATH is looking for a full-time Specialist Histopathologist based in Brisbane, QLD & Melbourne, VIC to lead in shaping the future of our histopathology services.
Reporting directly to the Director, you will provide high-quality laboratory services and strategic leadership in advancing diagnostic pathology practices.
As a leader in the lab, you will have the autonomy to influence clinical and scientific approaches while mentoring the team and contributing to the organisation's vision.
Your responsibilities include:
Leading the diagnostic process by handling complex histopathology cases with clinical correlation and advisory servicesSetting the standard for quality assurance programmes and ensuring scientific rigour across all diagnostic processesServing as a key advisor and consultant to medical professionals, offering expert opinions on challenging casesDriving innovation by contributing to and implementing cancer reporting protocols and other advanced diagnostic toolsCollaborating with the lab and medical teams to shape operational strategies and ensure the highest standards of service deliveryCreating and delivering educational content to support ongoing professional development in the industryRepresenting the organisation in professional networks, conferences, and research activities to reinforce InfinityPATH's leadership in the fieldA key advantage of this role is the dedicated Quality Management Team, which handles administrative tasks, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality diagnostic services, clinical work, and research.

About You To qualify, you will need:
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of SurgeryFellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (or equivalent)Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)Extensive experience in histopathology, with a focus on leadership in dermatopathology or gastroenterology pathologyAdditionally, the following skills and qualifications are highly valued:
Proven visionary leadership, inspiring teams and driving clinical innovationA strategic thinker who can shape long-term operational strategiesInfluential communication skills, both written and verbal, to mentor staff and serve as a consultant to medical professionalsA commitment to mentoring and developing junior professionalsThe adaptability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentAs our ideal candidate, you have a clear vision for the future of diagnostic pathology.
