Estate First Lawyers | Mid/Senior Lawyer – Estate Planning/Wills

Estate First Lawyers is a law firm practicing exclusively in high level estate planning and estate administration law (we do not do estate litigation). The firm has a strong reputation in the industry, with 3 accredited specialists (out of 39 in Qld) in succession law, and recognition in 'Best Lawyers' and 'Doyles' guide over multiple consecutive years.
This is a specialised practice, so the work, precedents and processes is that of a top tier firm.
Due to our continued growth, we are looking to add a mid/senior estate planning lawyer to our team of 10 lawyers and 12 support staff. About the role
As an experienced lawyer within the estate planning team, you'll have the opportunity to:
Provide advice on a variety of client matters, including estate planning for blended families, estrangement, clients with entities, testamentary trusts (including protective provisions for vulnerable beneficiaries).
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders, offering empathetic and sensitive guidance.
Work closely with other senior lawyers in the team.
Work with comprehensive precedents and processes that have been built by our specialists for over 15 years.
Not have to worry about securing your own appointments, as the firm has strong and broad referral relationships with other professional organisations.
Have a realistic budget to ensure work/life balance and plenty of admin support to support you.
The position is full time, and there is some flexibility in terms of work times and work from home depending on your experience level. Applicants wanting 4 days a week may also apply.

What skills do I need?
5+ years post-admission experience (PAE) in estate planning. Other areas (including estate administration and estate litigation) will be considered.
High level organisational skills and a proactive, 'can do' approach.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly to clients.
Strong drafting skills and eye for detail.
Ability to think creatively and problem solve.
A collaborative, team approach.
An equal enjoyment of client interaction and doing the technical work.
The Location
The position is based in our main office at Toowong. We are located on level 10 of the Toowong Tower, offering a stunning fitout, uninterrupted views to Mt Cootha and convenient access downstairs to the Toowong Shopping Village and train station.
