Wood Plc | Mechanical Commissioning Engineer | Perth

Wood is recruiting for a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to join our expanding Oil & Gas Operations APAC (West) team in Perth.
This is a 9-month contract position with potential to be extended, due to recently securing several large projects with existing clients, which includes sustainability projects such as CCS .
Wood's "Operations" APAC West business delivers brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, optimization, and technical services to the Oil & Gas industry and enjoys long-term partnerships with some of the region's most prominent producers located in Western Australia , Northern Territory and Southeast Asia .
You will be an Australian citizen or hold Permanent Residency (PR) and be able to work lawfully in Australia.
Ideally, you will be a suitably qualified engineer from a recognized institution or hold a tertiary qualification along with 5+ years of proven experience in commissioning in the Oil & Gas sector in Australia.
In addition, you will have:
A demonstrated commitment to safety Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills – both written and verbal Previous experience in construction and commissioning engineering and coordination in a project multidisciplinary team Strong technical expertise in piping, vessels, and rotating equipment installation, construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning Well-developed computer skills and knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, and engineering programs Ability to maintain composure under pressure while delivering in a challenging and complex environment A "solutions mindset" embracing innovation and an agile approach to project delivery and team leadership It takes a diverse and inclusive community of inquisitive minds to unlock tomorrow's solutions to the world's most critical challenges.

What will set you apart is your proven experience in a similar role as a Commissioning Engineer working within a Brownfield EPC or EPCM environment, preferably within the Australian Oil & Gas / LNG industry.
