Join an expanding Health Service with a culture of collaboration, trust, respect and teamwork.Our workplace is fast paced, challenging and supportive, where every employee plays a critical role in our success.The Research Support Unit at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Nurse Unit Manager (Clinical Trials) to join their team on a permanent basis.How to apply and for mandatory requirements regarding this role, please refer to the attached Role Description.Your opportunityThe Nurse Unit Manager is an employee who is a registered nurse who:Is appointed to an advanced practice nursing position; andDemonstrates a specialised clinical expertise and/or specialised skill set.This role will:provide leadership and management of the Clinical Trials Unit multi-disciplinary team.be responsible for staff reporting to the position and/or education and research advice.be responsible for building and expanding clinical trials across the Mackay HHS.financial accountability for clinical trial unit financial requirements and monitoring.About the TeamMackay Institute of Research and Innovation is an emerging health service-led translational research and innovation centre; a collaboration between Mackay HHS and our academic partners. The core functions of the Institute are:leading cutting edge translational research and innovation.implementing clinical trials.implementing evidence-based practice into patient care.implementing innovations that improve productivity and safety.supporting clinicians to undertake in research in areas of strategic interest.working with key partners.About our Hospital and Health Servicehas 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff.
