Drill Rig Fitter/ Hd Diesel Mechanic

BDC continues to be one of the leading water well drilling contractors servicing the Pilbara region.
BDC operates the latest model Versadrill V2095 drilling rigs and Schramm Fury 130s.
These rigs come with automated pipe handling for both rods and casing, on board mud pump and on board compressors.
The rigs are supported by a modern fleet of MAN 8 x 8 Support vehicles to make the requirements of drilling safer than ever before.
We are currently seeking a dedicated individual who is familiar with the requirements and risks associated with servicing and supporting drilling equipment in remote areas.
Duties and Responsibilities: Diagnostic fault finding on mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems on drill rigs, mud pumps, air compressors, support vehiclesManage Breakdown repairs and servicing of all equipmentComplete maintenance reporting on a daily basis, liaising with the site supervisor and Operations Manager for all work plansComplete parts request and managing fleet service and critical part requirements to ensure there is no down timeBe proactive in all preventative maintenance including planning and communication to the drill crewFollow company procedures & policiesComplete required pre task risk assessments for BDC & the clientPerform maintenance according to company standards ensuring you have a safe workplaceExperience working on drilling equipment such as Schramm, Versadrill, Sullair, including auxiliary equipment.Experience working on support equipment such as JCB, MAN, Kenworth, Hino, ToyotaMechanical Trade Certificate recognised in AustraliaAbility to work independently with limited supervisionDemonstrated abilities to work within a team environmentGood communication within the teamReside in Perth or South WestSenior first aid certificateForklift high risk licenseAble to provide a national police clearanceAble to pass comprehensive medicals including a drug and alcohol screenWhat we Offer: 2:1 or 2:2 family friendly rosterFIFO from the South West or Perth W.ACompetitive rates based on experienceWork on a modern fleet of drilling and support equipmentNationally accredited training and certificationExcellent working environment#J-18808-Ljbffr
