About the roleSilicon Quantum Computing (SQC) is at the forefront of quantum technology, pioneering the development of the world's first data centre-ready quantum computer and utility-scale quantum computing solutions.
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Product Manager – Quantum Computing to lead the development of comprehensive product and market roadmaps that will shape the future of quantum computing in enterprise and utility-scale environments.
This role is critical to ensuring the successful alignment of SQC's cutting-edge quantum technologies with market needs, industry trends, and customer requirements.
The Product Manager will act as the key interface between technology development, business strategy, and customer engagement.
You will report to the COO.
Key responsibilitiesProduct & Market Roadmaps: Develop comprehensive roadmaps encompassing the entire hardware, software, and infrastructure technology stack, outlining clear milestones to guide quantum computing product development and market entry strategies.Value Propositions: Craft compelling value propositions to ensure a strong Product-Market Fit for SQC's offerings.Market Analysis: Conduct competitor analysis, customer needs assessments, and identify growth opportunities in key industries (energy, defence, communications, finance, healthcare).Feature Prioritisation: Define and prioritise product features based on customer and business impact.Performance Monitoring: Track product success using KPIs and adjust strategies to meet market and business objectives.Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams to execute product strategies and deliver scalable solutions.Customer Success and Engagement: Translate customer feedback into product enhancements, focusing on delivering measurable value.This role demands exceptional organisational and communication skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, and a passion for innovation and quantum computing advancements.
EducationBachelor's Degree in a relevant field - Quantum computing, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science or Mathematics (Specialised education or certification in quantum computing or systems engineering is highly advantageous.
)Advanced degree (MBA, PhD, or equivalent) preferred.Education in product development, product management, and marketing strategy.ExperienceProven experience as a Product Manager or similar role in high-tech or emerging technology industries.Expertise in developing and executing roadmaps for complex technologies, ideally in quantum computing, advanced computing, or semiconductors.Familiarity with quantum mechanics, algorithms, or hardware is a strong advantage.Skilled in presenting technical solutions and value propositions to diverse audiences, including customers, investors, and technical teams.Solid knowledge of quantum computing applications, enterprise IT, data centres, and large-scale computing infrastructure.Experience aligning product development with strategic objectives and driving commercialisation of prototypes into market-ready products.Proven ability to influence and collaborate with executives, leadership, technical teams, and customers.Strong proficiency with product development tools and methodologies such as Confluence and Jira.Key Performance IndicatorsProduct Development: On-time delivery of roadmap milestones, feature specification, prioritisation, and deployment.
Time-to-market for new features.Market Strategy & Adoption: Actionable market insights integrated into strategy, growth in customer base and market share, expansion into new industries.Financial Performance: Revenue contribution to company goals, ROI from launched products, adherence to development budgets.Customer Success Metrics: Adoption rates of new products and features.Innovation & Leadership: Number of new features or capabilities introduced, presence in industry events and publications, competitive positioning improvement.Personal AttributesHigh level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.Proactive and self-motivated with a positive attitude and mature outlook.Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across teams.At SQC, we are pioneering the future of quantum computing, with a focus on solving some of the world's most complex problems.
