ECG Engineering are leaders in the Electrical Engineering space, delivering design and project delivery services to the Mining, Utilities, Materials Handling and Industrial sectors with extensive and proven capabilities in Australia, and around the world.
With offices in Perth, Brisbane, Toronto, Manila & Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, ECG have the capability to design and deliver on complex projects, from early study work to commissioning and handover, drawing on the expertise of senior ECG personnel who have worked together for 30 + years.
We require a Lead Project Engineer for our Perth project office, in the Lycopodium building, as well as in the Welshpool office.
You will be joining the project delivery team to aid in the delivery and execution on a large complex international copper project.
ECG have the electrical, power systems and controls automation scope while our friends at Lycopodium handle the SMP packages.
The Lead Project Engineer role will suit any engineering/construction or resource sector professional with 8 to 20 + years experience who has a passion for working in a major project environment and being a part of the team that pulls the projects together, then executes the strategy, from study and design through to construction commissioning and handover.
The ideal applicant will have solid cost reporting expertise as well as strong experience in electrical engineering packages.
The role will require strong organizational and communication skills, as they will be working in an occasionally frantic environment, where multiple projects are running across Australia, and around the world.
Ideal Key Experience requiredMajor mineral processing project experience, both office and siteConstruction experience: understanding the processes and linkagesExperience – exposure to the engineering environment and the process of creating, revising and issuing engineering drawingsExposure – understanding of the scheduleStrong cost control/reporting expertiseExperience – exposure to Project Controls and PlanningExperience in electrical engineering and associated plant and packagesSkills and Attributes requiredB Eng Electrical, or Engineering/business/legal/construction economics degreeStrong report writing and written communication skillsDemonstrated cost control/reporting experienceModerate to good Excel and Project Wise knowledgeExperience in Project Forecasting and PlanningTendering and Estimating experienceMicrosoft Office Experience specifically: Excel, Word, PowerpointMicrosoft Project experienceUltra positive work attitude, keen to work in a fast-paced role where organization is criticalWorking with a seasoned project delivery team delivering full technical support and oversight, this is an ideal role for anyone seeking a hands-on, Lead Project Engineer role.
You will gain deep insight and experience in complex project delivery, working with a team of seasoned project delivery pros.
