The Opportunity

LegalVision, a leader in innovative legal services, is seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to join our team and oversee financial operations across three jurisdictions.
This is a newly created role designed for an ambitious hands-on individual who can combine strategic thinking with operational execution.

What You'll Do: As Financial Controller, you will:
12 month fixed term contract
Lead compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to financial regulations across all jurisdictions.
Manage and optimize tax planning and reporting processes, including indirect taxes (e.g., VAT, GST).
Oversee treasury operations, ensuring effective cash flow management and currency risk mitigation.
Establish and maintain financial controls to meet regulatory requirements.
Partner with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulators.
Prepare annual statutory accounts for Australia and the UK
Investor relations
Develop and implement policies for financial compliance and risk management.
Support strategic decision-making with financial insights and data analysis.
What We're Looking For:
A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA/CA qualification is essential.
5+ years of experience in financial control, compliance, or similar roles, ideally in professional services or a multinational environment.
Strong knowledge of tax, regulatory, and compliance frameworks in Australia, the UK, and New Zealand.
Proficiency in treasury management, including FX exposure and liquidity planning.
Hands-on experience with financial systems and controls.
Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
A proactive and adaptable mindset to thrive in a growing organization.
Having worked with private equity is a bonus.
