Job DescriptionThe Opportunity The newly created Senior Legal Counsel role, reporting into our General Counsel and Company Secretary will be building our new Legal and Compliance framework. This is a hands-on role with a diverse and interesting mix of work.
In this role, you'll be tasked with: Drafting and negotiating commercial and general supplier contractsWorking collaboratively with business stakeholders on strategic business-wide initiativesReviewing marketing and promotional communicationsAdvising on a broad range of legal and compliance risks, including privacy, competition and consumer law, policy review, spam compliance, workplace laws and emerging topics such as AISupporting the delivery of legal and compliance training across the business and teams.Helping drive process improvement initiatives and champion engagement with the Legal team in the Webjet GroupDesired Skills and ExperienceWhat we love to see: 10+ years post admission experience working with an inhouse team or law firmStrong Understanding of applicable Legislation and Regulations including Corporations Law, ASIC, Privacy and Consumer LawsExposure to ASX listing rules, Modern Slavery Statements, ESGStrong technical contract drafting and negotiation skillsExperience advising on compliance issues, including any of competition and consumer law, privacy, spam and workplace health and safety.Ability to deliver legal advice, which is both compliant and supports the achievement of strategic objectivesExperienced in managing multiple internal and external stakeholders in a fast paced and dynamic environmentExcellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbalExceptional attention to detailKeen eye for process improvement opportunities, including optimising using technologyWhy Webjet?
