Blue Mountains Grammar School (BMGS) is a co-educational Christian School in the Anglican tradition for students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12.

We are seeking an experienced Head of Mathematics to join our Senior School team at BMGS.
This permanent full-time role will lead the Mathematics department for Years 7 to 12, focusing on delivering high-quality, innovative, and engaging teaching and learning experiences.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, fostering a culture of academic excellence and teamwork among the department staff while ensuring that the curriculum meets NESA requirements and national guidelines.

Permanent Full-Time Based at BMGS Wentworth Falls Senior School campus Preferred start: Term 1 2025 Salary in accordance with the MEA Responsibilities:
Lead and inspire the Mathematics department in the development and implementation of a rigorous, innovative curriculum.
Foster a high-performing team, encouraging collaboration, professional growth, and best practice teaching strategies.
Drive the strategic direction of the Mathematics department, ensuring continuous improvement in teaching and learning outcomes.
Oversee the development and delivery of mathematics programs that meet the diverse needs of students and align with the school's values.
Support and mentor Mathematics teachers, providing guidance on classroom management, pedagogy, and professional development.
Ensure the effective deployment of resources to support student success.
Engage in the school's wellbeing programs, promoting the holistic development of students.
Ensure compliance with all curriculum documentation, assessment, and reporting standards.
Actively contribute to the wider leadership team in shaping the direction and vision of the School.

Requirements:
Mathematics teaching qualifications and extensive experience teaching Mathematics.
Leadership experience or a strong desire to innovate and reimagine learning in the classroom.
NESA accreditation to teach in New South Wales.
Current NSW Working With Children Check.
Current First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
Full Australian work rights.
