The Opportunity We seek a strategic Commercial and Contracts Manager to oversee our Defence client portfolio.
Based in Milton, this role will work closely with the senior account management team and singularly focus on achieving customer outcomes.
The Commercial and Contracts Manager is responsible for providing strategic commercial partnership insight, business performance reporting and analysis to optimise contract performance in alignment with the annual business plans.
The role is to be responsible for the quality and related internal controls of the business and its alignment with the Defence objectives.
This includes high-level meetings with the Commonwealth senior stakeholders and reporting on all performance measures across the country.
Delivering insights aligned to the contract to optimise service and commercial outcomes and capture growth opportunities.
Working across business units to ensure alignment with customer expectations.
Implementing and supporting systems and processes for effective reporting on performance measures.
Overseeing the commercial and contract management of subcontractors and other vendors.
Partnering strategically with stakeholders to address business challenges through innovative problem-solving and actionable execution plans.
Providing timely, accurate updates on business performance and developing recommendations to navigate market and organisational complexities on a national scale.
About you You are a professional with a strong track record in strategic commercial relationship management roles.
You thrive in complex, multi-site, matrix-style businesses.
Proven experience developing and delivering budgets within complex business environments, driving operational excellence and performance.
Expertise in financial management, including consolidation of results, financial management and return on investment analysis.
Strong conceptual and analytical skills, demonstrated ability to establish commercial directions, manage risks, and ensure compliance.
A history of building performance reports and dashboards to support decision-making.
Significant experience in strategic client engagement and people management.
