You will be responsible for leading a team of designers working across flagship streaming products including Kayo Sports, Binge, Flash News, and more.
This leadership role requires a blend of strategic thinking, design expertise, and management skills to guide the team in creating exceptional, user-centered design solutions that align with each brand's identity and vision.
Define and drive the overall design strategy for our brands inclusive of, but not limited to, Kayo Sports, Binge, Flash News, and FoxSports.com.auEnsure consistency across platforms while tailoring solutions to meet the unique needs of each brand's audienceWork with senior leadership to ensure design is aligned with business objectives and brand goalsLead, mentor, and manage our growing team of designers, including both UX and UI specialistsPartner with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Content teams to create seamless, user-centric designsInfluence product decisions by advocating for design and ensuring design input is integrated into the product development process from ideation through executionChampion user experience best practices by leading user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testingGuide the design team in translating insights into intuitive and engaging design solutions that improve user retention, engagement, and satisfactionOversee the end-to-end design process across multiple brands and platformsEnsure that designs are executed to the highest standards and delivered on time, with a focus on both visual excellence and user experienceDevelop and maintain design systems that can scale across our brands while ensuring design consistency and efficiencyProvide our team with the tools and frameworks needed to work efficiently and deliver high-quality designsIntroduce new design methodologies and approaches to keep the team and designs fresh and competitiveSkills and Experiences We're Looking For 8+ years of experience in digital product design, mobile apps, or OTTExperience in a leadership role managing a team of designers.
Extensive experience working with both UX and UI designers, with the ability to inspire and motivate your team while providing clear direction and mentorshipA strong portfolio demonstrating a range of UX and UI design work across different platforms, showcasing your expertise in both interaction design and visual design.
Experience with scalable design systems, branding, and user-centered design is essentialProficiency in wireframing and prototyping tools such as Figma, the Adobe suite, or similar tools.
Experience in creating low- and high-fidelity wireframes, prototypes, and user flowsDeep knowledge of UX principles, interaction design, user research, and usability testing, combined with strong visual design skillsStrong ability to think strategically, balancing the needs of multiple brands while ensuring that design solutions are aligned with business objectives and user needsA deep understanding of the sports, streaming, and entertainment industry, including trends in digital product design, content consumption, and how design influences user engagement and retentionAbout Us Australia's original cable TV innovator has evolved into a technology-led streaming powerhouse that's transforming how Australians watch the world around them and connect with one another.
