We specialise in providing occupational hygiene, environment, and hazardous materials services, training, support, and solutions for our clients.The opportunityDue to an increase in demand from our existing client base, we have a unique opportunity for a HazMat Consultant to join the team in our Perth (WA) office to both lead and/or complete hazardous materials project work for our clients and contribute towards the expansion of our HazMat team.Key responsibilities of the position include the following:Conducting surveys and/or inspections and/or managing the completion of surveys/inspections for the presence of asbestos/hazardous materials building materials.Conducting and/or managing the completion of asbestos airborne fibre sampling, in accordance with relevant standards or guidance documents.Undertaking visual clearance inspections following asbestos remediation.Managing asbestos remediation projects for our clients.Writing technical reports and developing asbestos registers, management plans and technical scopes.Assisting in the management of large-scale HazMat projects.To be successful in this position you will have:Substantial industry experience in HazMat with a specialization in asbestos and an understanding of regulations surrounding this area of work.A strong scientific or engineering background in contaminated land and understanding of scientific and engineering principles.PTA certification / Licensed Asbestos Assessor (or ability to pass the standard within a reasonable timeframe).IP402 - Surveying for ACM in Buildings.Desired QualificationsM(W)504 - Asbestos and Other Fibres.IP401 - Identification of Asbestos in Bulk Samples (PLM).IP404 - Air Monitoring, Clearance Inspections.What we offerThere are many aspects of our lives that are important, so we offer benefits to enable your work to enhance your life.
