Join us and accept the challenge of creating a better tomorrow.Job DescriptionJoin us in modernising our client's COBOL applications You will be responsible for designing, coding, and testing complex COBOL programs and integration services, ensuring they are not only functional but also elegant and efficient. Collaborate with talented teams, including business analysts and other developers, to translate intricate requirements into innovative technical solutions.Embrace agile methodologies to deliver projects quickly and effectively, adapting to changing requirements and prioritising tasks to maximise impact. Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to maintain alignment and foster a collaborative team environment.Your attention to detail will be crucial as you conduct thorough unit and integration testing, identifying and fixing defects before they affect our clients. Contribute to code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to best practices, and promote knowledge sharing among team members.Mentor and guide junior team members, nurturing a culture of continuous learning and growth. Share your expertise through training sessions, workshops, and documentation, empowering your colleagues and enhancing the team's capabilities.Actively seek opportunities to improve development processes, tools, and techniques to stay ahead of the curve and drive innovation.
