Your New Role: This role can be filled as one full-time position or shared between two part-time positions. Provide drop-in and outreach services to families and playgroups, assess their needs, offer practical support, and connect them to appropriate services.
Facilitate referrals and assist in transitions to early childhood education and school.Collaborate with local playgroups, community members, Elders, and partnering organisations to meet community needs, promote the program, and enhance service delivery.Establish and maintain networks with local service providers and community agencies.
Promotes Play Matters Australia (PMA) and engage families through marketing and promotional events to foster participation.Ensure timely completion of administrative and reporting tasks, maintain accurate data, supports reporting, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and program requirements.Monitor program deliverables, collaborate with stakeholders, and supports program evaluation to enhance effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.To perform this role it is essential that the person is an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person.
It is therefore a genuine occupational requirement under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991Holds or is eligible to hold a Working with Children Check.Open drivers licence and access to vehicle.Relevant Early Childhood/Human Services qualifications and/or an equivalent level of expertise and experience to undertake the key responsibilities.An ability to engage sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build meaningful connections with families and children.A commitment and demonstrated ability to provide culturally safe and supportive environments for children and families.Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Statement We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
