The Role
As a Fire Door Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and inspection of fire doors and related safety equipment.
The Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain fire doors, hardware, and components.
Conduct regular inspections of fire doors to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations.
Perform fire door checks, including testing door seals, hinges, closures, and locking mechanisms.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including inspections and repairs.
Ensure compliance with local and national fire safety standards.
Collaborate with clients to address fire door-related concerns and provide recommendations.
Report on findings from inspections, providing advice for necessary repairs or replacements.
Work in accordance with safety procedures and guidelines to ensure the well-being of yourself and others.
The Requirements
Previous experience working with fire doors, door installation, or related fields.
Testing and repairs of passive fire systems in accordance with AS1851-2012.
A driver's licence.
Right to work in Australia.
