Principal House Officer/Registrar

• Prison and Youth Detention Health Services provides primary care services for approximately 4,800 prisoners, or 44% of the Queensland adult prison population.
In 2024, service activity will increase with the commissioning of another 1500-cell correctional facility, currently under construction in the Gatton region, when that facility reaches capacity West Moreton Health will house half of Queensland's prisoner population.
• Temporary Full-time opportunity for up to 12 months.
In the position of Principal House Officer/Registrar, you will be expected to participate in the provision of high-level primary health care services for young persons within Prison and Youth Detention Health Services and to ensure that safe, high-quality, patient-centred care is provided.
In the role of Principal House Officer/Registrar, you will be supported and encouraged to expand your education and training in primary health care and become an important member of a dynamic and passionate Prison and Youth Detention Health Services team.
About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
Demonstrated ability to provide high quality medical care to patients in primary health care. Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary health care team. Demonstrated high level written and oral communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated commitment to own development and continuous self-improvement and identifies learning opportunities in everyday work. 17.5% annual leave loading (Additional allowances/entitlements may apply). 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation. Further information regarding this role please download and read the attached Role Description and Information Packages.
