Update your details, view your application and progress.Traffic Manager (Senior Project Engineer)Two CIMIC Group companies, UGL and CPB Contractors have been selected by Transgrid to deliver the ~140km western section of the HumeLink high voltage electricity transmission project.HumeLink is a new 500kV transmission project which will connect Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW that will significantly increase the capacity of the electricity network in Australia's eastern states. HumeLink is one of Australia's largest energy infrastructure projects, with about 365kms of proposed new transmission lines and a range of other new and upgraded infrastructure.The HumeLink West scope of works, worth $1.4bn, includes delivery of new 500kV double circuit transmission lines spanning ~140kms from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new Substation at Gugaa, the Interface Point with HumeLink East near Gundagai and a new substation at Maragle in the Snowy Mountains for future connection to Snowy 2.0.The OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Traffic Manager (Senior Project Engineer) to join the HumeLink West team.Please note this role will initially be based in Sydney, with transition into a site delivery role requiring DIDO/FIFO or relocation where additional allowances will apply. Local applicants are highly considered.Key AccountabilitiesYour responsibilities in this role will include:Manage the scheduling of traffic operationsEnsure compliance with safe work practices, company policies and procedures and legislative obligations, Traffic Management Plans and Traffic Guidance Schemes.Managing traffic procurement and ensure subcontractors are set up to succeed through implementing robust systems and processesDeliver best for project outcomes through positive leadership, collaboration, identification of risks and interface with stakeholdersConduct regular onsite audits and leadership walksAbout YouBachelor of Civil or Traffic Engineering, or related discipline or equivalent experienceMinimum 5 years relevant construction and traffic experienceExperience in development of Traffic Management Plans and Traffic Guidance Scheme (TGS), auditing and contractor managementExperience in RAPID software, as well as Microsoft Office platforms including ExcelThe successful candidate will be required to hold a current Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card or equivalent) and undergo a medical assessment (including drug and alcohol testing) prior to commencement.Where applicable, evidence of tertiary qualifications and proof of right to work will be required prior to successful appointment.We particularly welcome and encourage applications from Indigenous Peoples, women, the LGBTQ+ community, mature workers, Veterans and active-duty armed forces, people with disabilities and people from different cultural backgrounds.
