Operating for 75 years, our expertise spans the building, construction, and infrastructure sectors.With a global footprint covering Australia, New Zealand, Asia, India, Middle East, North America, Africa, the UK and Europe, our clients can tap into the collective thinking of over 2,000 of the best people in the industry, operating from over 70 offices.The WT Data Centre team continues to grow nationally, with high-profile new engagements landing with multi-national technology clients, leading to a new, Associate Quantity Surveyor role in the Brisbane Data Centre team.With major projects underway and more in the pipeline, we're on the lookout for an experienced Associate (or Senior Quantity Surveyor) that has ideally managed Data Centre projects or other similar mission-critical and complex sites. Those with a real cost-engineer lens and those with electrical and mechanical backgrounds are highly sought.This role is responsible for:Complex Cost Engineering on mission-critical projectsLiaising with clients, architects and main contractorsIdentifying and facilitating new business opportunitiesMaster-plan and feasibility budgetsCost checking of developing designTender evaluations and analysisCash flow projectsProcurementCost reportingFinal account reportingClaims preparation, presentation, negotiation and settlement of claimsInvestment analysisFormulating and implementing benchmarking processes to improve the consistency, accuracy and time to prepare cost models and plansMinimum Requirements:Relevant tertiary qualification in any of the following areas: Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Electrical, Mechanical or Civil EngineeringExtensive experience in cost estimating and planning software/ Cost XExtensive experience in MEP and heavy services projectsDemonstrated track record of winning and managing major projectsExperience managing mission-critical projects or similar projects of complex designAt WT, in addition to your competitive salary we offer many perks including:Paid professional memberships - support in gaining and supporting your membership costs for RICS and AIQSWellbeing days - time to focus on your wellbeing and the communityWT's balanced way of workingWhen you're working from the office, you'll be in an award-winning office fit-out which supports flexible and activity-based working in a prime location with amazing viewsIf you're keen to advance and broaden your career within the construction industry then this could be a great opportunity for you.
