Are you looking to start your career in a dynamic role with a supportive and friendly team?We are seeking a Graduate Employment and Industrial Relations Advisor to join our broader advisory team. You will sit in our well-established Employment and Industrial Relations team based in East Melbourne. The role will be advisory in nature – you will assist our members with their employment and industrial relations inquiries, principally over the phone or via email. This is an opportunity to be involved in helping our members to solve real world problems from day one.Key Position Tasks:Interpret industrial instruments, like modern awards and enterprise agreementsAdvise about minimum rates of pay, allowances, loadings, penalties and other workplace entitlementsProvide guidance on unfair dismissal, general protections and unlawful termination claimsDraft, help negotiate and lodge enterprise agreementsLiaise with stakeholders, including unions and other industry bodiesAttend events, working groups and industry forumsKey Skills, Attributes and Experience:Strong verbal and written communicationActive listener with an attention to detailInquisitive and a critical thinkerTeam player with good interpersonal skillsAdaptable, dependable and resilientA tertiary qualification in law, industrial relations or human resourcesInterest in employment laws, including the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth)What MBV can offer you:Flexible work arrangements – Hybrid work model, compressed working weeks, purchased annual leaveStrong people engagement and values-based culturePaid parental leave, corporate partnerships, company wide lunches, events and activitiesYour application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?
