PERFORMANCE ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR ABOUT GROUPM NEXUS GroupM Nexus is the world's leading global media performance organisation that unites GroupM Practices (search, social, programmatic, ad-ops, commerce) and Solutions (Finecast, Xaxis, Sightline and Goat) into a single unit. The global organisation will be underpinned by a new cross-channel performance platform, AI and international delivery hubs to set new benchmarks for innovation, effectiveness and efficiency for GroupM's agencies and clients.

ROLE OUTLINE The Performance Associate Director spans the full spectrum of implementation, activation, and delivery. You provide leadership to activation staff, drawing on your expertise to coach, teach, and support them in delivering for our clients to a consistently high standard. You also collaborate with clients to produce successful implementation plans that drive real business change.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS Collaborating closely with internal teamsEstablishing strong relationships with relevant media, data, and technology partnersFoster deep trust and understanding with agency client teamsContribute to great teamwork in your immediate teamWHAT YOU SHOULD SPEND YOUR TIME DOING People – 35% of your time Manage team workflow, delegating tasks effectively, making sure goals are set & met, and resolving issues with minimal guidanceEnsure performance evaluations are completed to the required frequency and standard, coaching managers where requiredLead the training and development of junior members of the team, including up-to-date certifications/accreditations across all relevant platformsProduct – 30% of your time Enrich ongoing implementation planning and buying practices to improve delivery, collaborating with practice leads where relevantActively lean into GroupM craft initiatives at an AU, APAC and Global level to drive best practice in your team and to maximise knowledge sharing opportunities.Bring innovation and creativity to the table by leading the testing agenda for your team, collaborating with partners to harness their capabilitySupervise the reporting output across the team, ensuring it is jargon-free, insightful, and of the highest standardClient – 20% of your time Own key relationships at the intermediate level, as it relates to implementation planning & buyingDemonstrate strong media planning principles, working with clients to provide implementation plans that are grounded in strategic prioritiesProvide coaching and guidance to junior team members on their communication and relationship-building skillsCommercial – 15% of your time Address and resolve challenges and issues related to commercial tasks, liaising with stakeholders and coaching junior team members as required with minimal supervisionSeek and implement improvements to ways of working that increase efficiency and effectiveness of commercial operationsSupport Director on investment decisions, audits, and forecastingWHAT MAKES A GREAT PERFORMANCE ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR Attention to detail: monitoring the quality and accuracy of your own work, and that of othersOrganisation: manages expectations across all stakeholders, sets clear prioritiesTeam & collaboration: assumes extra responsibilities to facilitate the achievement of team goalsCommunication: effectively communicates business objectives, issues, and outcomes clearly, applies strategic thinkingAnalytical: recognises causes & consequences of actions and events that are not readily apparentFlexibility: recognises changing circumstances quickly and proactively implements successful action plans across teamProactivity/taking the initiative: consistently contributes to improve work methods, outcomes, and team performanceProblem solving: identifies root problems and proactively implements solutions, acts to minimise risk across all implementation processes and proceduresWorking at Wavemaker Inclusive policies
