The successful applicant will be given the opportunity to treat the department as if it were their own business. They will be given the flexibility to tailor the store's service and product offering to meet the specific needs of the customers within the local area.
Working as a part of an enthusiastic team, in a highly competitive supermarket environment, applicants will be expected to demonstrate: Significant fresh food retail knowledgeExperience in Fruit and Vegetable Management is essentialExpertise in leading and managing team membersOrdering and cost control expertiseAn excellent understanding of gross profit calculationsAccurate staff rosteringPassion and enthusiasm, with a very "hands on" approachUnparalleled commitment to customer serviceAbility to liaise with both staff and managementA flair for merchandisingStrong leadership and delegation skillsAbility to coach, train and performance manage staffCommitment to work health and safety standardsTo succeed within our organisation, applicants must be able to: Display a passion for fresh food within the grocery retail industryExpress a positive "can do" attitudeLead by exampleMotivate a teamCommunicate effectively with management, employees, customers and external stakeholders
