Growth and Development: you have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and advance your career with ongoing professional development opportunities in a thriving field.Job DescriptionAs the Child Safeguarding Manager, you will lead efforts to ensure child safety and wellbeing across MACSEYE by driving best practices and fostering a child-safe culture:Develop and implement child-safe policies, processes, and resources in collaboration with the Quality, Safety, and Compliance teamDeliver professional development and mentoring to enhance organisational expertise in child safeguarding and trauma-informed practicesFacilitate effective communication with regulatory bodies, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of child safety incidents and compliance mattersLead risk assessments, investigations, and the rollout of key initiatives, including Child Link and information-sharing frameworksDrive continuous improvement by addressing operational gaps, staying informed of legislativeQualificationsTertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, or a related discipline, with expertise in trauma-informed responses to child safety incidents and providing expert adviceStrong knowledge of Victorian Child Safe Standards, Reportable Conduct Scheme, mandatory reporting, and the ability to lead and implement safety initiatives while ensuring legislative complianceExcellent organisational skills to manage competing demands, meet deadlines, and deliver training, coaching, or mentoring in compliance and quality practicesDesirable qualifications in workplace investigations (e.g., Cert IV in Government Investigations) and experience conducting internal investigationsAdditional InformationWhat's in it for you?Competitive Salary & Benefits: Enjoy a generous salary and a comprehensive benefits packageOngoing Training: Access continuous professional development and trainingInclusive Environment: Thrive in a welcoming, supportive workplaceCareer Advancement: Explore opportunities for growth and advancement within our organisationAbout MACSEYEMACSEYE is a pioneering organisation dedicated to establishing a network of early childhood and school-aged care programs across Melbourne Archdiocese.
