Full timeWe are currently working on an exciting hire for a Senior Product Designer for a leading SaaS organisation, based in Brisbane with hybrid working (1-2 days in office ideally) on an initial 6 month FTC (with a view to extend/go permanent) up to $150k p/a inc super.Please note an online portfolio is a must for this role and only candidates with this will be contacted.This role is focused on Design Systems in a UI functionality.As one of the Senior Product Designers, you will lead the evolution of the core design system. This role involves shaping, building, documenting and maintaining a scalable enterprise scale design system, including UI components and guidelines. You will oversee the library of patterns utilised by multiple products.Collaborating closely with other stakeholders such as product leaders, designers and engineers is key. Understanding requirements, establishing governance processes across teams, and creating new components is essential.Duties:Ability to own a design system that is evolving of patterns and components, ensuring accessibility, consistency, and scalability of a suite of productsAbility to work closely with engineers to ensure required qualityExcellent collaboration with product leaders, engineering teams, and senior stakeholdersExperience in building a comprehensive library of tokens, components, templates, icons, and illustrationsChampion reusing design patternsSkill in researching, designing, and validating patterns for design systems.Skillset:Over 6 years' experience in designing & building large scale web softwareAbility to demonstrate experience in design systemDeep understanding of Design Systems & Familiarity with Design TokensExpert skillset within FigmaKey Stakeholder management is a must for this roleEnsure designs meet WCAG standards for accessibilityAbility to integrate animations & transitions into the design systemStrong focus on responsive UI design & Atomic Design across platforms and devices
