Tenure-Track
position in
Chemistry
at the rank of
Assistant Professor .
This position will commence July 1, 2025 (or as soon as possible thereafter).
The successful candidate will teach Organic and, in addition, General Chemistry and Biochemistry courses; the candidate will be expected to teach upper-level courses, supervise undergraduate honours theses, and participate in program development.
The successful candidate will also conduct discipline-based research and undertake appropriate service activities within the university community.
The capacity to develop an externally funded research program is also expected.
Candidates should have a relevant PhD in chemistry with a strong emphasis/specialization in organic chemistry.
Candidates who are in the later stages of their PhD may be considered with the successful completion of the PhD being a condition of employment.
Applicants are expected to demonstrate potential and commitment with regard to teaching, research/creative/scholarly activities, and service to Cape Breton University, community and profession.
