Plant Operator

Your new role:
Based at Dandenong South, this role requires you to work with the team at the depot each day.
You will be required to operate vehicles and equipment in accordance with company regulations, complete all paperwork and records accurately.
This role is not for the faint-hearted as you are dealing with liquid waste.
It is a smelly and dirty role but you are backed by a fully supportive team.
Client Details
Our client is a global organisation in the waste and recycling industry.
They are experiencing growth and require additional plant operators for the site.
The team here know that the roles are not glamorous and support all of its workers to succeed in the business.
Description Duties include but are not limited to:
Driving and operating vacuum and hook lift trucksCoordinating deliveries to various sites for disposalLoading and unloading of liquid material by connecting the hoses, using the pumps, and recording materials dischargedAttending to basic maintenance of equipment and reporting any faults that have occurredMaintaining and cleaning equipment, and tidying up work spacesOperating the material handling equipment such as the skid steer, excavator, forklift, and trucksGuiding drivers to unloading baysCompleting daily paperwork and safety documentationWorking to Workplace Health and Safety Regulation requirementsProfile About you
To be successful in the role, you will have the following:
Must be able to train in the morning shift for up to 6 months prior to moving to a PM or Night shiftA manual HR Licence with a clean driving recordZero Harm Safety mindsetGood attitude, reliable and willing to learnWaste industry experience is not required but highly regardedWilling to undergo a police check and pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol testStrong understanding of Safety and Compliance in waste water environmentUnderstanding the different liquid waste categoriesExperience operating and driving skid steer and excavatorsCustomer orientated, you care about our customers and bringing a positive attitude to all your interactionsPride in appearance of the company equipment and personal imageTeam player, willing to pitch in, support and help when requiredWilling to use all computer and IT equipment (full training is provided)Job Offer
On offer is the opportunity to join a highly supportive team in a permanent position with the business.
Your full-time rate is $34 per hour and will rise after 6 months to $35 per hour in the morning shift.
There is secure on-site parking, and the early starts mean you go home early in the afternoon.
