We are seeking dynamic individuals to join our Forest and Fire Operations Officer (FFOO) team.
As a Forest and Fire Operations Officer, you'll be at the forefront of preserving Victoria's state forests, national parks, and protected public land.
With your expertise, you'll implement vital operational tasks and execute fire prevention activities.
You'll learn from seasoned professionals whilst contributing to the conservation of our natural environment.

Be prepared for potential deployment across the state, where you may encounter challenging terrains whilst contributing to both emergency response and planned burning operations.
Eligibility and Expertise: Applicants must hold a current manual Drivers Licence (conditions A, I & V not acceptable for employment).
Specialist/Technical Expertise: Experience working in bushfire response or forest operations is desirable.
Understanding of safe work practices, including awareness of regulations and codes of practice and safety documentation systems is desirable.
This position is fixed term until 29 August 2025, available in the regional location of Orbost, Victoria.
You'll have the chance to explore and protect stunning landscapes whilst earning a competitive salary ranging from $57,822 to $65,221 per annum, plus superannuation.

Successful applicants will be required to successfully complete the DEECA General Firefighter accreditation.
To be eligible for appointment to this role, applicants will possess corresponding work rights for the advertised employment period.
Appointment to an ongoing position is only available to an Australian/New Zealand citizen or an Australian Permanent Resident.
