The Head of Lighting, reporting to the Event Centre Technical Manager, offers the extraordinary opportunity to lead, supervise and develop the Event Centre Audio Visual (ECAV) Lighting Team to deliver lighting for both performance and corporate events within the Event Centre.
A few of your responsibilities : Work in collaboration with the other Audio-Visual Heads of Department (Rigging / Vision / Audio) to ensure smooth and effective delivery of all Audio-Visual services.Prepare the daily team roster.Attend production meetings and document lighting requirements for upcoming events.Provide written quotations for equipment and labour supplied, to meet production specifications.Ensure all lighting systems are regularly serviced and where necessary carry out repairs or engage contractors to assist.Ensure all business compliance and WHS processes are met.What we are looking for : Comprehensive skills and experience in the Live Entertainment Industry.Level of technical expertise and experience in all aspects of lighting operation and design.Working knowledge of either Vector Works or Auto CAD programs.Good communication, team building and interpersonal skills.Flexibility to work through a 7 day roster.About you : You will have a background in lighting design or technical production and have a passion for creating custom lighting solutions tailored to the unique needs of our clients.
You will strive to craft experiences that leave a lasting impression while maintaining the highest safety standards and technical precision.
Your role will be pivotal in shaping the success of our Events Centre.
