About the role: The Lecturer in Anatomy and Physiology (Education Focused) will teach in the area of Exercise and Sport science and contribute to leading unit teaching teams in UG and/or PG programs.
The position will work collaboratively as part of the discipline teaching team to develop and deliver learning materials and activities to enhance the student learning experience and teaching and learning outcomes.
As a Lecturer in Anatomy and Physiology, Education-focused, you will: Lead unit teaching teams and work collaboratively with other unit teaching teams within courses to develop effective unit curricula and learning resources.Contribute to the review of units and courses and implement refinements.Assist in applying industry, clinical and/or research practice into student learning experiences.Adopt innovation in curriculum design at the unit level and deliver learner-centric, research-informed teaching practices.Design collaborative learning opportunities at the unit level.
Support diverse learners by designing accessible and inclusive unit material and practices.Integrate contemporary research in the discipline and/or pedagogical research within courses and units designed to improve student outcomes.To be successful, you'll have: PhD in Anatomy and Physiology or relevant discipline and/or other relevant qualifications and experience.A sustained record of scholarly learning and teaching in UG and/or PG programs with a focus on Anatomy and Physiology.Experience in developing curricula and/or resources that reflect an understanding of Anatomy and Physiology with relevance to Exercise and Sport Science.Experience in innovative curriculum design.Demonstrated passion for teaching and learning.Ability to deliver effective teaching practices to improve student success and engagement.Here's how to apply: To be eligible to apply, you must currently be a sessional academic at Deakin or have been previously engaged as a sessional academic at Deakin within the last two years.
