Driven by the NSW Government's unwavering commitment to tackle the critical housing issue, we provide essential support and strategic guidance.The Development Assessment & Sustainability (DAS) teams are at the forefront of delivering the Department's planning assessment, post-approval, and compliance services, playing a pivotal role in driving the government's strategic economic recovery, growth planning, and planning reform agendas.
We guide informed decision-making, streamline processes, and implement planning reform targets to ensure efficient and effective outcomes.The DAS teams are responsible for providing critical input and support in developing policies to enhance assessment processes, ensuring they are robust and transparent.
Our comprehensive management of post-approval, compliance monitoring, and enforcement systems ensures stakeholder engagement, meets performance benchmarks, and enhances public confidence in the government's infrastructure planning efforts.The roleAs a Planning Officer in our DAS teams, you'll play a crucial role in driving planning projects forward, focusing on effective collaboration with local councils and key stakeholders.
Your work will involve conducting detailed research and analysis to identify issues and propose solutions, ensuring that housing initiatives and planning programs align with state, regional, and local objectives.You'll handle stakeholder inquiries, providing clear and accurate advice on planning matters.
Additionally, you'll prepare reports and correspondence to support decision-making and help develop and maintain systems and processes that enhance team operations and service delivery.
