Have an interest in the agriculture industry? Allianz has an exciting opportunity to join our Commercial Farm Underwriting team as a Farm Underwriter. This position would suit somebody who thrives in delivering a market leading customer experience. In this role you will be responsible for providing a high level of underwriting service to our Broker partners in NSW, and nationally where required, working collaboratively with our broader underwriting and distribution teams to ensure appropriate underwriting decisions are made and our customers are put at the heart of our decision-making.You'll be responsible for:Actioning new business referrals and providing renewals and endorsements aligned to the Farm Underwriting Strategy, having regard to the needs and circumstances of customers.Completing workflows such as new business referrals, renewals, and endorsements to ensure delivery of quality products and services.Managing relationships across a designated portfolio, with a focus on underwriting Farm insurance as per delegated authority limits.Anticipating and providing solutions to customer's needs from available information to design sustainable responses to suit their circumstances.Ensuring business offering is aligned with divisional objectives, portfolio balance and Cycle Management strategies (growth and profit).Maximising retention of assigned accounts and ensuring timely review of renewal business in conjunction with internal requirements.Underwriting with adherence to underwriting guidelines ensuring we are actively managing the portfolio and applying remediation to stressed accounts to ensure we maintain a profitable position and manage any inherent risks.Staying abreast of market conditions and trends and maintaining a market presence in SA and the Farm community within Allianz, providing feedback to stakeholders and taking action to capitalise on business opportunities.Ensuring appropriate actions are taken to ensure all contract certainty targets are adhered to.Important to your success:Experience in the commercial lines of business is required; applicants from an underwriting, account management or broking background would all be considered.Experience in a commercial underwriting role (Farm experience is desirable) in a general insurance organisation.Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, organise tasks and manage competing resources and demands.Demonstrates enthusiasm and ability to optimise business value to customers by delivering high quality services and positive customer experiences.Good attention to detail with the ability to interpret and analyse information, extract meaningful insights and evaluate options for decision making.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with clarity, impact and influence.Thorough understanding of account and reinsurance structures.Ability to coach and influence people to develop individual and team potential.A sense of belonging in the workplace, where you are welcomed and encouraged to bring your most authentic self to work.An employer that is committed to supporting your work/life balance and is always open to conversations about flexible & remote working.Learn through being supported and encouraged to take on new challenges that will help you to develop new skills.Access to over 10,000 on-demand learning resources and programs, to support you in taking control of your career development.Access a range of benefits, such as discounts at retailers, travel firms, health insurers, gyms and financial institutions.Initiatives to support your financial wellness through selected discounted Allianz insurance products, superannuation matching, salary sacrificing, novated leasing and our referral bonus scheme.The opportunity to take part in our Employee Share Purchase Program - own a piece of your employer.About AllianzAt Allianz, we care about everything that makes you, you.
