Why You Will Be Excited About This Role This is an exciting opportunity for a UX/UI Product Designer to join the Digital Team to help shape the future of pathology, imaging and healthcare services and build better experiences for our customers.
You will help shape our design practice and ways of working and as our team grows there will be opportunities to further develop your career.
Some of the areas we are exploring in healthcare include:
Applications for our patients, our doctors, our collectors, our pathologists and other user groupsClinical information systems for pathology and imagingNew tools that leverage artificial intelligenceE-Commerce and payment solutionsAs the UX/UI Product Designer, you will partner and collaborate with product, engineering and stakeholders from across the organisation to create leading digital experiences for our customers and users.
You will tackle complex problems and transform them into intuitive, accessible and easy to use features and products that cater to the needs of a range of users including first-time users to sophisticated experts.
About Us Healius employs 10,000+ passionate people, with an expansive network of over 100 medical laboratories and 2000 patient collection centres operating across metropolitan, regional and remote Australia.
We provide 1 in every 3 pathology services in Australia, extending from exclusively servicing some of Australia's largest and most complex private and public hospitals, to small Indigenous Australian communities.

What You Will Be Doing Your key responsibilities will include: Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to understand business opportunities, user needs, competitive landscape, and technical constraints to deliver products to market that drive user satisfaction and business growthTackle complex tasks and transform them into intuitive, accessible and easy-to-use designs for many - from first-time users to sophisticated expertsDrive a customer-centric approach to product design through discovery, framing, iterative development and delivery and create supporting artefactsPlan, estimate, prioritise and undertake 'just enough design' using a lean mindset to deliver commercially feasible user-centric design solutionsReduce ambiguity of scope, bring clarity to requirements and user needs, write user stories, create journey maps, and facilitate collaboration workshopsSupport team with functional testing and create collateral to support product and feature launchesPlan and conduct qualitative and quantitative user research, synthesise findings and share insights on regular cadenceContribute and utilise design components and patternsDevelop and explain design rationale for design decisions to make design trade-offs obviousCommunicate design, design intent and rationale effectively across the organisation both visually and verballyWhat Type of Person Will Be Successful You will be passionate about healthcare and eager to tackle a steep learning curve, bringing a solutions-focused mindset to overcome challenges and drive impactful outcomes.
