Teaching - Secondary (Education & Training) Full time Townsville Grammar School is one of the original Grammar Schools of Queensland.
The Year 7-12 campus is located on the original site at North Ward.
The School also operates two Junior School campuses, both offering Pre-Prep to Year 6, at Annandale and North Shore. Townsville Grammar School is a co-educational, non-denominational School with a current enrolment of approximately 1300 students, including 120 boarders (7-12), of whom approximately 25 are international students. As one of the eight original Grammar schools in Queensland, Townsville Grammar School was established in 1888 and has offered boarding since this time.
The School has a long-standing reputation as the leading academic school in Northern Queensland, also offering the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme for Years 11 and 12. We have a rare opportunity for a Year Level (Year 7) Co-ordinator to join North Queensland's leading academic school.
This is a position for an experienced and inspiring leader to play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of our Year 7 students.
The primary objectives of the role are to oversee the pastoral care, academic progress, and overall well-being of students in Years 7 and to work closely with staff, students and parents to foster a positive learning environment in which all students can thrive.
You will be responsible for providing leadership to a team of Year 7 teachers to ensure consistent maintenance of the ethos and standards of the School, and to be the first point of contact with the parents of students in your year level.
The successful candidate will be a dedicated, collaborative educator with exemplary teaching skills, and the ability to mentor a team of young, enthusiastic educators.
To be successful, you will also require:
