We're seeking a passionate and skilled Agronomist to join our dynamic team in Bowen, North Queensland.
Known for its significant contribution to Australia's horticulture industry, Bowen offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse range of crops.
In this vital role, you'll contribute to our agronomic strategies, ensuring we continue to lead the industry in sustainable and profitable farming practices.Your ImpactSupport our agronomic operations, aligning them with our broader farming strategy to drive success.Provide valuable insights on crop production and soil management specific to the region, contributing to our growth and profitability.Collaborate across teams - from Farm to Sales - ensuring quality outcomes that align with our farm-to-table vision.Assist in inspecting contract growers throughout the region, helping to elevate our entire network's performance.Implement best practices in agronomy services, maintaining high standards in fruit and vegetable production.Contribute to the development of our Agronomy Team and Contract Grower pool in North Queensland.Apply food safety principles (HACCP) in daily operations, ensuring top-quality produce.Participate in post-harvest assessments, supporting continuous improvement efforts in our Bowen operations.What You'll BringA degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, or Applied Science.At least 2-3 years of experience in vegetable and/or fruit crop production.A demonstrated ability to deliver quality, customer-focused solutions.Strong time management and prioritization skills.The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Enthusiasm for learning and applying new agricultural technologies and practices.Willingness to work in varied outdoor conditions.Join us in our mission to revolutionize agriculture and nourish communities across Australia and beyond.
